On Saturday, February 15th, Nassau Fire Department along with Castleton Fire Department, East Schodack Fire Company, Schodack Landing Fire Company and Nassau Ambulance held a cold/ice water rescue drill in the Town of Nassau and Castleton. The departments learned about ice/cold water safety and participated in multiple rescue exercises with the firefighters. Firefighters also practiced and demonstrated their technical rescue skills and self rescue skills.

Meant to encourage working together with other departments, and improve our hose advancement skills.

Like traditional Tetherball, the goal is to get the ball over on to the other team’s side, in order to win.

After a process of elimination, Team 1 was declared the winner of this year’s event!
