Maria Marcucci-MacPhail, 57, of Schodack Landing passed away at home surrounded by her family on December 1, 2023. Born in Catskill to the late Phillip Ricks and Regina Marcucci (Salvatore) she was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend. Maria graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and attended Cornell University to become a certified master bee keeper. She was active in her community as former Vice President, and current Secretary of the Schodack Landing Fire Co. and was an active member of the Emmanuel Reformed Church in Castleton. Maria enjoyed gardening, sunflowers, tending to her flower beds and attending local farmers markets to provide the fruits of her labor on Bee Hollow Farm to the community. She loved interacting with her customers at the markets. Maria had a passion for rescuing animals, especially cats and dogs. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, and she enjoyed all the decorating and festivities that were involved with it.
She is survived by her loving husband Paul MacPhail; stepson Justin P. MacPhail; sister; Regina Melchin; brother-in-law Brett Melchin and her beloved nieces and nephew, Regan, Blake and Ryan.
Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service at the Emmanuel Reformed Church, 1150 Maple Hill Road, Castleton-On-Hudson, NY 12033 on Tuesday, December 5, at 1:00p.m. All are invited to attend her calling hours prior to the service at the church from 11a.m. to 1p.m. Interment will follow at Bee Hollow Farm.
