James Moak

Schodack Landing – James Moak Jr. , 69 , of River Road,
a retired truck driver, died Wednesday
at his residence after a long illness. Born in Columbia, S.C.
he had lived in the Capital District most of his life.
Mr. Moak Was a retired truck driver for Ken Morris Excavators of Schodack.
He also played in a Country Western Band the “True Tones” that was featured
on a local radio station for many years after his release from the U.S. Army at the end of World War II until his illness in 1990. He was a member of
Schodack Landing Volunteer Fire Department where he served as a member, Commissioner of the Fire District and was part of the Fire Police for many
years. He was also a member of the Schodack Landing Reformed Church.
                      Survivors include his wife Laurie Hallenbeck Moak.
