Grooten, Jane A. SCHODACK LANDING Jane (Ploth) Grooten, 91, died peacefully at home on June 21, 2007. She was a cherished, caring and loving Mom who dedicated her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. A lifelong resident of Schodack Landing, Jane was a charter member of the Schodack Landing Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, member of the Castleton and Nassau Seniors, member of the Muitzeskill Womens’ Guild, and served as an officer in AARP. She appreciated fine food, was always ready to enjoy the company of family and friends, and will be greatly missed. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Albert (Dutch) Grooten and a sister, Helen Bednarz. She is survived by daughters, Norma Grooten and Joan (Duke) Harris; a son, John (Stephanie) Grooten; grandchildren, Christine (Albert) Pruett, David Grooten, Megan Clemente (Joe) Terry and Jessica Clemente; great-grand-children, Alex and Hailey Pruett.
